My main Turkeys at the moment happen to be in the Financial sector. And the two that are losing money like crazy happen to be JPMorgan (JPM) and bank of America (BAC). And you know what is even funnier, I own only two and three shares respectively. That could be a blessing in disguise because I would be in a way deeper hole if I owned 10 shares of each. My other Financial is Visa (V), it has made me money since I got it but has been on a losing streak as of late but I still consider it a hold. It is painful and no fun at all to lose money but it’s also a learning experience for me and that can only make me a better investor.

A brand new week is here but sadly I have to write about last week and that is always painful when you have lost money. I lost $28.49 last week and I hope things turn around for the better this week. I transferred $200 dollars into my account and that is going to be the last transfer for a while. We’ll see how this week turns out so hold on tight.

I bought International Coal Group Inc (ICO) and Star Bulk Carriers Corp (SBLK) on 7/11/08. The first is in the Energy Sector and the second in the Transportation sector.

This report looks just like the previous one in one aspect, I lost money once again. Hey, that is part of the game we all love to hate but that is ok. I am losing money now but at some point I will be making money instead and that is what we all look forward to, right?. Stick to the plan and hold on tight, sooner or later the wind will be on our side. On to the numbers.

Two weeks ago in the Weekly Investing Report I mentioned that I was keeping my eye on a particular stock. At the time it was trading at $12.62 so it was too expensive for me. The stock I am talking about is International Coal Group Inc (ICO). The stock is trading at $10.23 as I write this, from the chart below you can see that it has been moving up nicely for the last six months.

This past Monday another stock caught my eye. Star Bulk Carriers Corp (SBLK). The stock is trading at $10.55 as I write this. The movement on this one has been the roller coaster type for the last six months, up and down but that doesn’t scare me one bit because I happen to like roller coasters.

Now I have to choose which one to get or if I want to get both I have to transfer some more money into my account, decisions, decisions.

I am just glad this past week was a four day work week. My account was down $80.51 and it could have been more than that but the market was closed on Friday. I have been losing money for the last three weeks. I don’t like it one bit but there isn’t much I can do but hold on tight. I can always count on that what goes up must come down, Darn I should not have said that.
