Goodbye (CFC), Hello (BAC)
July 4th, 2008 | No Comments | Filed in InvestingIt happened yesterday or the day before, I am not really sure because I didn’t pay that much attention to the market these last couple of days because I was so busy. Bank of America (BAC) finally completed the acquisition of Countrywide (CFC) and as I write this post I no longer own any (CFC) shares. Instead I am the owner of 3.644 shares of (BAC).
I wrote a previous post about this, you can read it here. At the time I wrote that post the Bank of America shares were going for $31.99 and the price as I write this is $22.40. I am going to hold on to this stock for now but when it reaches my threshold I am going to sell, sell, sell.
I have three stocks in the financial sector and that is a big no, no. Can’t put all your eggs in one basket specially when said sector is really getting it. You are supposed to diversify and I sure didn’t pay attention to that lesson.
