How Not To Lose Money
August 15th, 2008 | No Comments | Filed in Personal DebtI remember that about a year ago I went to a local casino called Morongo with some family members. I wanted to play some Blackjack because I prefer that to Poker. So we get there and it’s full of people like I figured it would. For that adventure I had $150 dollars to play. I started on the slots and that got boring real fast and I ended up losing money, don’t remember how much though. After that I moved around checking other games and by the end of the night I was out most of my money. Then I decided to play Blackjack with what I had left and guess what, I after about half an hour I had recouped what I’d lost and at one point I was $150 dollars up but then I got greedy and in the end I lost all $150 dollars and owed $20 more to my sister so it was a bad night for me. I don’t go to casinos that often, just once every million years. Moral of the story, next time remember to quit while you are ahead. Just like stocks, I know that when my stocks reach a certain point I will sell, sell, sell because I am in it to make money and not lose money.
