The market was finally up yesterday after a four day decline. My account was down $202.80 as a result of that 4 day skid but recovered a bit thanks to the market’s 200 point day. We have about two more months to go this year and I am still hoping to end the year above the five thousand dollar mark. I will see you in a couple of weeks, in the meantime, enjoy the report.

If you have been a reader from the very beginning then you know that I put $100 dollars into my 403b every month. I can’t buy individual stocks only funds, mine is the Dimensional Emerging Markets Portfolio (DFEMX) fund. Last year I lost money but this year has been a pretty good one.

Thing is, my $100 dollars can only buy 3+ something shares a month now because the price is up, the price as I write this is $26.26 a share, I currently own 127.218 shares. So I have been thinking that maybe now is a good time to put those $100 dollars into another fund. I am going to start doing my research and whatever happens you will know about it.

Brand new week and that hopefully will be good for my investments. Last week was very disappointing for me because of the following, my account was down $309 dollars for the week. Here’s hoping that things will change for the better this week, enjoy the report.

I had no trades last week.

My investments, 50 Dow Chemical Co (DOW) shares, 100 Allied Irish Banks PLC (AIB) shares, 400 Citigroup (C) shares and 500 Fannie Mae (FNM) shares.

You may be wondering whatever happened to my dreams about having my own business one day and you are not alone, I have been asking myself that for a couple of days now. Here is the answer, I still have my dreams and one day I am going to be my own boss, the fire is beginning to burn once again on that front and that is great news for me. I am guilty of being complacent again, I would call it more laziness than anything, and I hate being that way sometimes. I am going to be successful and I am going to be my own boss, now if I would only get started.

The market has been acting up the last couple of days and as a result my investments are down so far this week. The hardest hit of my stocks has been Fannie Mae (FNM) thanks to its rating being downgraded to underperform and the prize target dropped down to zero, ouch indeed. Although it’s still a bit profitable it has lost a lot so don’t be surprised if I end up selling this one sooner than soon.
