Goners
June 20th, 2008 | Filed under Investing.About a month ago I wrote a post about the stocks that I consider “keepers” based on how profitable they have been for me so far. Well this post is about the ones that are going to be “goners” as soon as they reach a threshold that I’ve set.
The number one goner right now is JPMorgan (JPM) for one simple reason. I only own 2 shares of this stock. If I owned 10 of these I would take a wait and see attitude but since I don’t I won’t and as soon as my threshold is reached it is goodbye JP.
The second goner for me is Countrywide (CFC). This stock has been the worst performer for me so far and as a result has lost me the most money. I am just waiting for Bank of America (BAC) to buy Countrywide sometime in the July-September quarter and then I will get about 3.5 shares of (BAC) and then when my threshold is reached I will sell, sell, sell my Bank of America shares.
